"Spanish Moss"

I painted this with Savannah in mind, with the large Oak trees draped in Spanish Moss. I have 29 days left in New Mexico and then I am gone from here forever.

Such awesome shading and light in this one.

If Tony says “forever”, I think he means forever.

He did one final painting as he left LA two years ago that I think I will post as a contrast to show his entrance and exit, or the first New Mexico painting.

So many paintings and so little time.

Very beautiful. I love Spanish moss. There is something eerily beautiful about it.

When I lived in New Orleans, there was some local who always showed up at Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras and other city events, dressed head to toe in Spanish moss -- he looked like "Thing" on the Adam's family.

The colors in this painting are just mezmorizing. Thanks as always for sharing Tony's brilliance with us.

Savannah is the other city (like New Orleans) that immediately pops to mind when I see Spanish moss. How odd that you posted this and then mentioned he is in Savannah -- or had you made the connection when you decided to post this beautiful painting?
