"The Porch"

This is the first painting I've done with my new home in it........The porch at least. It seems to be a favorite place for people to spend time here, doing little but staying cool and waving to anyone that walks down the street. They're friendly here!

Waving at all of you too! Tony

I love porches. The sense of peace, serenity, and a glass of iced tea.

I'm from Georgia, so you know I love them. My fondest memory is of my great grandmother's house, it was huge and the front porch was the whole front of this wide house, it's very abundant in old homes of the south. I need to send you a picture of it. Or write an entry! Again so glad your back, you've been missed!

I miss the porch on my previous house. But love the deck on the back of my current one.

Lewis: You have a nice porch in your home. I have seen the pics of it and know about the morning tea.

Derek: Yes, send me a picture. Earlier this week I was taking an evening walk and found a home with the most serene wrap-around porch. It was a corner lot, and the big stone porch faced the entire eastern and southern exposure. Beautiful formal door in the south and informal door on the east.

Wayne Yes, if you do not have a porch, a patio is a total substitute. I do not have either, but have a great yard and killer view. I would like to add a deck if I can get the $$$’s.
