"Anthuriums In An Earthquake"
Amid the news coverage of the earthquakes in Haiti, Chile, and now Southern California, I envisioned my next still life as not so still, but quivering and shaking during an earthquake. It was hard, but I forced myself not to use any black in this painting.

The LA section of the San Andreas AND the Bay Area HAYWARD faults are both now ready for deadly quakes. Nothing is holding them back except for scotch tape, thumb tacks and chewing gum.
